The love of a mother is a great force that affects us all. In its truest sense, a mother’s love is the perfect example of God. I have watched my mom, how she patiently polishes her children with love. I have also seen her kindness and gentle heart, and felt her love, as it finds overflow in my own life. The grace of her love is so authentic, that it can pierce through the most stubborn souls, and affect the most tainted wounds in the family.
When God made mothers, He knew what He was about. God knew that mothers are the building blocks of our homes, and also the flowers that bloom within their walls. Consider the majesty of our mothers, how they shine like heavenly stars.
A mom will be a lover of her children, and a representative of the nurturing power of God. She will sacrifice her own life and wellbeing, for that of her children.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’”

Mothers Complete our Homes
When God made the first man, God saw that he was incomplete. At that point, God had already made the heavens and the earth, and all of creation, but there was one who was missing, and it was our mother.
The introduction of woman in Genesis signifies completion and also shows how special she is, because though the creation was so vast, it could never have been completed without her.
A home without a mother is an incomplete home, one that shows the evidence that she is missing. A mother will turn our house into a home, and our food into meals. She will turn our turmoil into triumph and turn our scarcity into abundance.
Mom is the glory of Dad
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
1 Corinthians 11:7 Tweet
For dad, mom is his prized possession. Dad finds glory in the fact that mom not only beautifies the home, but also completes it. Dad knows that mom is a blessing from God, and that she is very good for his life.
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. Proverbs 18:22
This is important to know, because it solidifies the importance of our mothers in the lives of our fathers and by extension, our homes. The Bible says that woman is the glory of man, and that man is the glory of God. The term glory, as used here, means, good reputation or the honor of. So if we rephrase the verse, we could say it means, “woman is the honor of man.”
In my own little words, I can say that a good woman adds value to a man’s life. She enhances his reputation and makes him feel honourable. A man with a glorious woman will be a joyful man, who will till any soil to make her satisfied.
Man and woman were both made equal, but with separate roles. It’s important to note that none of these roles are inferior to the next and there needs to be no competition. The reality is that fathers cannot play the roles of mothers. A mother’s role is a very unique one, and God has anointed only her to fulfill it. This shows how worthwhile and irreplaceable she is, and gives us the perfect reason to celebrate her now and always.
“Mama’s Love”
Mama’s Love is like a storm, knocking me out,
I can’t contend with mama’s love, it pours from all about.
It rises to the summit, and reigns with the sun,
Mama’s love it stands alone, mama’s love is number one
It cuts me deep inside, from her love I cannot hide,
For even when she casts the rod, her arms are opened wide.
Oh I’m incarcerated, overwhelmed and saturated,
Miles away I remember mama, she can’t be fabricated.
Time has bred the distance, still there’s no resistance,
Mama’s love can swim, it quells with such insistence.
It is armoured and paraded, mama’s love can persuade,
I feel no pain, I can’t abstain, her love’s my barricade.
Mama’s love climbs the mountain, and wrestles with the lion,
It pours like a fountain from the hills of Zion.
Oh I miss my mama so, I long for her like there’s no tomorrow,
Mama’s love it aims and triggers, and bores me like an arrow.
