How uplifting it is to realize that it’s not over yet. No matter how things may seem, when we walk with God, each day brings a fresh start—filled with renewed hope. This hope is rooted in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest.
When we truly grasp this, we are better equipped to persevere. A person who understands their identity in Christ is already positioned in victory.
The Resurrection Is Our Victory
There’s an ancient story that beautifully illustrates this truth. It tells of a Man whose beloved children fell ill with a deadly disease. If left untreated, this illness would lead to their certain death. The Man, knowing this, devised a plan of redemption to restore His children to their rightful place, where they could live forever, free from sickness and suffering.
In His great love, He chose to give His own life so that His children could live, even in the midst of their dire condition. His single act of sacrifice was powerful enough to bring life to many. Moreover, the Man’s life held the extraordinary ability to resurrect itself. With this power, He willingly allowed wicked men to crucify Him, all because of His deep love for His children. In the end, the Man defeated the serpent and saved His children, securing eternal life for them.
The Story Of Salvation
This story is the story of salvation, and the Savour in question is Jesus Christ our King. He is the resurrected One that died so that we might live again. Many question the reasoning behind this, saying it is a made up story. Yet it makes sense that a good Father would die for His children.
It's Not Over Yet
When they killed our King, it seemed as if it was over and done. Yet, what wicked men found was that it was not the end, but the beginning of a New Testament. The King of Kings gave us an opportunity to live and hope again.
Maybe you have been put on a cross by wicked men. Be encouraged. The same King of Kings that resurrected Himself from the dead is available to you.
There are places we reach when we are tempted to give in. This is because these places are so difficult that they seem to want to cripple us. Yet we have power through Christ our Resurrection. When we die in our circumstances, He’ll trigger life to resuscitate and sustain us.
We can be assured that it’s not over yet, even amidst the episodes of hopelessness we might experience. No amount of deadness can suppress the Resurrection that anoints us. The good Gospel is that even in death we have our Resurrection Who gives us life.
Lay down your life
In the most trying times we’ll begin to understand how to lay down our lives with great confidence. We can be assured that as we lay down our lives for the sake of the Work of God, He will give us life.
One thing that my struggles have taught me and it’s that life can get really really hard. I have found that the difference with the man gasping for his last breath and the one who has a million more breaths, is the grace of God. The Bible puts it this way;
“It’s not by might, it’s not by power but it’s by my spirit says the Lord.”
You must know this as you walk with God. It is by the grace of God that we overcome, and nothing else. We often forget that we are God’s possessions.
This is Not The End
As we follow Christ we get to experience His eternal life. You might have fallen seven times but with God you can rise again. The wonderful thing is that as we walk with God we can have no end.
Consider Jesus as He marched to the cross. They thought they had defeated Him as He gave up the ghost. Yet when they crucified Him they were up for a big surprise. What they found was that the Master had life within Himself to raise Himself from the dead. When I say this is not the end I say it solely on the confidence of the resurrection. Because He lives, we live, and because He defeated death we too can defeat death.
Death Has Been Defeated
The Bible says that the wages of sin is death. It also says that the gift of God is eternal life. As we face our deadness we can have hope in God through His eternal life. This eternal life gives us a happy ending. The truth is that God will give us a happy ending as we walk with Him and trust Him.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Corinthians 15:55
Imagine after all of the struggle and pain, that we have a happy ending. The book of Revelation tells us about the most happy ending. It says;
Perhaps you are at a place where there seems to be no return. Maybe satan has battered you so much that you think this is it. Yet God wants to give you life for your deadness as much as He gives beauty for ashes. He wants to resuscitate you with His love. You job is to believe Him for who He is.
The Bible says that all things are possible to him who believes. This means that as you believe in the Word of God you will experience what you believe. You must believe in life and healing. When you do this, you will not only experience His resurrection, but you will also be able to help others do the same.

Keep Keeping On
We must learn to keep going no matter what. Even though this might be hard, we have what it takes to endure to the very end. Our one duty is to keep our hope. As we do this God will sustain us with His love.
There was a time in my life when I thought it was the end. I literally gave up on living because of the difficult situation I was in. I was physically sick, spiritually drained and emotionally tortured. Yet I learnt that as long as I keep holding on to God then He will keep me. There is a song that says “He kept me and so I couldn’t let go, God’s mercy kept me and so I wouldn’t let go.” It is true that it is His grace and mercy that will keep us through.
I pray God will strengthen you with His righteous right hand and that you will never ever let go.
Concluding Throughts
As we walk with God there is no end. We might pass through heavy waters but He promised that they will never overflow us. Our Redeemer and King is only one prayer away. As we summon Him He will be right there to save us. Christ our Resurrection will be the life in our deadness as we believe.
Remember that even amidst death we have newness in Jesus Christ. God bless you.
