"for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
Matthew 17:20 Tweet
We often overlook the little steps that we take and the little moments of life. We must however identify with the importance of little in the great big. It is often little steps that complete great journeys and it is often little faithful moments that result in a faithful life. The Bible states the importance of faith as small as a mustard seed.
A mustard seed can barely be seen with the naked eye yet Jesus explains in Matthew, that all we need is faith as small as a mustard seed to move big mountains. If we are not able to have big faith, let us have little faith in a big way, a way that moves mountain. We must understand that it is never in our little faith but it is in our big God. We can have big faith in the wrong things and persons, and this will yield little to no rewards, but when we have little faith in a Big God then the impossible becomes possible.
The Bible states that when we have faith as small as a mustard seed then nothing will be impossible for us. All we need is faith as without faith it is impossible to please God. In our moments of despair and great grief, let us remain faithful even with the most little faith because our little faith appeal to a Mighty Big God! If we cannot make the massive steps let us take the many small ones. It is God’s strategy to use little things to achieve great results. It is divine wisdom to do things little by little.
As we move along, let us remember that God is ever with us as we grow. Our job is always to remain faithful and to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, leaning not to our own understanding. God required our faith to work in our lives. We can all have faith, even as small as a mustard seed. The Bible says that God has given to each one a measure of faith, some may be as big as Mount Everest and others may be as small as a mustard seed.
It doesn’t really matter if our faith is small faith or big faith, all that matters that we not only have faith but have faith in a Great and Mighty God. Let today be a day when you reflect on the divine wisdom of faith and the life giving power that it offers. Let us be faithful as without faith we can never please God.
Today’s Prayer;
Dear God, I believe, please help my unbelief. I am insufficient without you but faith in You offers me all i need. I pray that you will encourage me in my faith and that you will give me the strength to be faithful unto the very end. Amen.
