When we walk with God, we can be certain we’ll experience His best. It might not be the most comfortable, or bearable, but as we walk with God and follow Him, our latter will be greater than our former. There is a saying that tells us that “little is much when God is in it.” Here we learn that it is not in the little that we have but in God Who is with us. Perhaps that is why Moses said in Exodus 33:15 “If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” Moses found out that His presence makes the difference.
This is the reason why we should seek God’s presence no matter what. The truth is that in His presence there is fullness of Joy. Not only that but His presence also comforts us with peace and rest. Because of this, we should learn about the presence of God and also how to stay in it.
There are many scriptures that speak about God’s presence. In Joshua 1:9 God said to Joshua, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Why was God saying this to Joshua? For one, God knows how easy it is for us to be afraid, and God also knows about the power of His presence.
Know Who God Is
The first step to stay in the Presence of God is to know who God is. How can you stay with someone you don’t know? When we know who God is then we can truly trust Him.
God is our good Father who can do all things. He can turn any mess into the most beautiful message. He’ll also make beauty from our ashes as we believe. When we know who God is we’ll also know that He can transform our little into whatever He desires.
In this blog post I will share with you 5 reasons why little is much when God is in it. I hope that they will bless you with the divine knowledge of His presence. May it also encourage you to seek Him and abide in Him no matter what.
5 Amazing Reasons Why Little Is much When God Is In It
1. God is a Life Giver
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
As we stick to His presence we will benefit from His abundant life. This is because God is a Life giver. Our walk with Him will prove to us His resurrection power that is able to raise the dead. We can also be assured that God will work all things out for our good. This comes by default wen we trust Him and follow His Word. The Psalmist said “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.” The good news is that God is life. This means that wherever He leads us should be a pathway to life.
As Jesus marched to the cross He didn’t complain about the death that was coming. The narrative was painful but Jesus was assured that resurrection would have raised Him. He knew that He was the resurrection. Are you in a dead place? Does it seem as if there is too little for God to be much? be encouraged. As I said earlier, It is not in your little but in God’s big. It is not by might, nor by power, but it is through the grace of God that our little will be much.
2. Nothing Is Impossible For God
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. 18 “Bring them here to me,” he said.
Matthew 14: 17 – 18
We must know that nothing is impossible for God. There is a song I love entitled: Nothing like your Presence Lord that explains this very well. This song reminds me of the Presence of our strong God. What seems impossible for Humans is possible for Him.
As Jesus spoke to His disciples in Matthew 14:18 He commanded them: “Bring them here to me.” There was a multitude to feed and there were only 5 fish and a few loaves of bread. When the disciples saw this they said to Jesus “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish.” That’s when Jesus said “Bring them here to Me.” The key term here is Here. Where is Here? ‘Here’ is His Presence. He was basically saying, “Bring them in my presence.” In the end we saw Jesus feeding a multitude of people with 5 fish.

Isn’t it amazing that miracles happen in His Presence? As we bring our little to Him, He is able to transform it into the measure of His liking. Our one duty is to bring our little into His presence. As we struggle with the little and the big we should place it all in God’s hands.
3. Jesus Christ Is A Way Maker
We must be fully convinced that He will make a way when there seems to be no way. As we faithfully deal with the little, He will make a way for us. He’ll also turn our ashes into beauty as we trust in His divine guidance.
Maybe you are making little progress in your spiritual walk. You probably struggle with the back and forth of the carnal man. My take it that your should never give up. As long as you keep going, know that every little thing will be alright. Little progress is much when God is in it. Even little faith is sufficient in His Presence.
Little progress is much when God is in it.
Orlando C. Rowe
As the children of Israel ran from the Pharaoh they came upon the Red Sea. It was impossible for them to cross it and they were threatened by the Egyptians. The Bible tells us that Pharaoh took 600 of his best soldiers. Imagine that the Israelites were outnumbered in terms of human strength. Yet as they walked with God in their little, He paved a way for them. He parted the seas for His glory.
Don’t you think He will do the same for you? Isn’t it amazing that the God of the Israelites is the same God with us today. We can find comfort in our way Maker and Miracle worker. When we trust God with our little, we can be assured that He will make a way.
4. Little Can Be Big
What is little?, and what is big? I use these terms to help us understand from a human level. Yet, what is little? and what is big? Little and Big are both irrelevant in the economy of God. There is no limitation to His power and so the question of little and big is not necessary. We must understand this as we walk with God and juggle in the little.
We must elevate beyond human thinking and adapt the mind of Christ. When we do this we will shift the scope of out outlook. We’ll see things from a spiritual perspective. With God there is no little or big but possibility and matchless power. This matchless power reminds us that little can be big.
If we look beyond a little thing we can see it fully grown. Our faith can allow us to see a tree in a seed and potential in weakness. The only thing that matters is that God is in it. The truth is that little is much when we dwell in God’s presence.
5. We often grow in our little
It is when we are little that God can be big. That’s why the Bible says “Let the weak say I am strong.” When we are little we a get the best opportunity to grow to a new dimensions. We might be experiencing a physical lack or we might have become little in the spirit, but we must never forget that it is when we are less that God will be more. In our nothingness God will be something for us.
Growth is necessary because we all have to be transformed into God’s image and it is often from little places that we grow. Even babies teach us that they grew from little ones. A baby started from an idea of God that we cannot see, yet a baby will result in you and I.
As we walk with God we can find a lesson and a principle in everything. Let us learn from our little and grow into who God has called us to be.
Concluding Thoughts
We have learnt that God is able to turn our little into something beautiful. It is not in the little that we have – but it is in His Presence. Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty to be what He has called us to be. This means that the first thing we must seek is His presence.
It can be hard when we travel through little moments – yet as we walk with God we must know that all things are possible. God can part our Red Seas and multiply our loaves of bread. Our job is to walk faithfully and trust Him.
At the end of the day it is not in the little or the big, but in God. Whatever God says is true and whatever He does is good. Won’t we trust Him as we walk. God bless you.
