10 Life Support Scriptures To Fight The Spirit Of Infirmity

spirit of infirmity

There are life support Scriptures that can help us fight the spirit of infirmity. The Bible offers powerful Scriptures that not only remind us of God’s healing power but also activate that power within us. In this blog I will share with you 10 Bible verses to help you fight the spirit of infirmity and find strength in God’s promises.

When fighting sicknesses and diseases, the first thing to note is that God is with us and He is on our side. We must be assured that Christ gives everlasting life through His death and resurrection. This life gives us victory over the spirit of infirmity.

We live in a world plagued by various illnesses, threatening both our health and well-being. Yet the Bible reassures us that Christ has already borne our infirmities and carried our diseases. Sometimes, God allows these challenges to demonstrate His power more profoundly. What the enemy intends for harm, God can transform for good. Even in the midst of sickness, God can work through our infirmities to reveal His glory and fulfill His purpose, using every hardship for His greater plan.

Though Satan seeks to use the spirit of infirmity to steal life from God’s people, we are empowered through the grace and authority of our living God. We have the power to overcome every spirit, including sickness, by standing in faith. As we trust in God and His promises, we will receive healing from His hands, for He is always faithful.

Believing is healing

The Book of Hebrews teaches us that faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. This means that even before seeing physical evidence, we can have confidence in our healing through faith in God. The story of the woman in Mark 5, who was healed after touching Jesus’ garment, demonstrates that faith in Christ’s healing power brings results. Jesus affirmed this when He told her, “Your faith has healed you.” This reminds us that trusting in God makes the impossible possible.

As we trust in the healing power of Jesus Christ, the words from Scripture are fulfilled in our lives: “Until now you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). This emphasizes that when we ask in faith, believing in Jesus’ name, we are promised that God will answer our prayers, bringing joy and fulfillment through His healing touch. It is through our faith in Christ that His promises manifest in our lives.

Confessing your sins in your sickness

Confession plays a critical role in the healing process. We must confess our sins to God and others so that we may experience true healing. Sin can act as a barrier, both causing illness and preventing healing. By confessing, we remove this blockage, allowing God to restore us with renewed strength.

Scripture warns that the wages of sin is death, but through confession, we find redemption. As we confess our sins to the Lord, He brings us back to life, offering us the path to eternity through His grace and forgiveness.

Our caring Saviour has taken our diseases on Himself in the greatest act of love. He has foreshadowed our suffering and has made a way through His grace.
