We’ll all be faced with Godly new beginnings. When life changes course, it can be a shock, but it also opens the door to a great adventure. No matter the challenges we encounter, as long as we journey with God, we walk in truth and purpose.

However, as the Bible declares, “God is before all things.” Our limited understanding and short-sightedness can prevent us from seeing the amazing future ahead. This is perhaps why the Bible tells us we should “walk by faith, not by sight.” When we rely on our perception to define our circumstances, we might miss out on God’s greater purpose. Nonetheless, we can trust God as our all-knowing, Omnipotent Father, who always desires the best for us.

Change is an opportunity given by God to bring us to higher heights and deeper depths. Change gives us the opportunity to grow into who God wants us to be. It also gives us the chance to redirect our course and align with the plan of God. It is a divine opportunity for us to transform and become.

We must surrender to the process of change. When we do this, we open ourselves to new blessings and experiences that God has prepared for us, ultimately enriching our lives and strengthening our relationship with Him.

To experience Godly new beginnings, we must let go of yesterday, and hold to the promise of tomorrow. God has an amazing future prepared for us, but to reach this future we must let go of the past. Paul puts it like this;
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
– Philippians 3:13
Pauls knows that he has to let go of the things that hold him back, in order to embrace the beauty of tomorrow.
Letting go can be hard. Even though it is very important, we often find it very difficult to let go of the stains of yesterday. This is mainly because yesterday can leave indelible wounds and mark that are not easily removed. Yet, we must know that as we trust God, He will enable us to let go and go on. When we make God a part of our new beginnings, we can be assured that He will empower us to achieve all things.
When we let go, we give ourselves a chance to renew and heal. We also give ourselves the greatest opportunity for growth and expansion. It takes courage to acknowledge what we need to release, but doing so is crucial for our emotional and spiritual well-being. By surrendering what no longer aligns with our purpose, we open ourselves to new possibilities and experiences that can greatly enrich our lives.
Renewing Your Mind for the Journey Ahead
To change our lives and embark on Godly new beginnings, we must first change our minds. Nothing new can happen without a new mindset. Therefore, we need to renew our minds and align our thoughts with God’s truth. This renewal is achieved by immersing ourselves in Scripture, which offers the mindset that will lead to true transformation.
It’s essential to shift our minds away from negativity and embrace the goodness and purity of God. We must also cast aside self-doubt and fear, recognizing these as obstacles that hinder our journey toward Godly new beginnings.
Be encouraged. As you step into new beginnings, fill your mind with Scripture and Biblical affirmations that empower you to embrace change and face challenges with confidence. Romans 12:2 reminds us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind,” showing that this transformation is crucial for discerning God’s will in our lives.
